Ultra-High Availability

ODN ADVANTAGE

We've been working to provide the best possible service from top to bottom

We’ve designed our satellite network, our installations, and our service to prioritize availability. With remote site availabilities up to 99.95%, ODN’s satellite offerings can compete with single-link terrestrial offerings. With teleport availabilities exceeding 99.99%, ODN’s network is prepared to handle your downtime sensitive applications.

How does ODN provide you Ultra High Availability?

Starting with our Network

We’ve designed our satellite network to prioritize availability. By utilizing modern satellite network architecture and not accepting compromises, ODN has created the highest availability VSAT network possible. ODN focused it’s attention on the primary cause of satellite outages, rain fade.

Marietta Hub Reflector 2

Hub Rain Fade Mitigation and Geo-redundancy

Our network implements two Teleport Hubs for weather mitigation. One in Marietta, GA and the other in Chicago, IL, our Hub Rolls are nearly seamless.

If a Hub Roll is necessary, all customers are notified. Sites will go into initialization mode and will return to operation in around 10 seconds. Significantly faster than competing technologies.

Innovative Solutions to Increase Reliability

While not available with all satellite networks, ODN takes full advantage of ACM (Adaptive Coding Modulation) on both outbound and return channels to improve link resiliency.

We also utilize TLC (transmission level control) to take full advantage of all available BUC power for additional capability during extreme weather conditions.

Finally, our sites use automatic in-rate switching, where if a site does rain fade, it will move itself into a smaller carrier, allowing the site to come back online sooner than in fixed carrier networks.

Innovative Solutions to Increase Reliability

While not available with many satellite networks, we have implemented ACM (Adaptive Coding Modulation) that alters both outbound and return channels to reduce any outages.

We also utilize TLC (transmission level control) increases power levels for compensation during extreme weather conditions.

Finally, our sites use Inroute Switch, where if a site does rain fade, it will move itself into a smaller carrier, allowing the site to come back online in many cases, automatically.

AVL TECHNOLOGIES MOBILE VEHICLE-MOUNT

Extremely High Standards of Installation

Our installations specifications have been intensively tested to provide the most reliable sites possible. We use the highest quality materials available and all equipment is tested before completion.

With over 20 years of installing satellite antenna systems, we’ve been able to master our craft.

Top Tier Network Support

All sites are monitored by highly trained satellite network engineers 24/7. Using remote remediation, site links can be repaired at anytime producing industry leading repair times. 15 minutes or less.

If anything does go wrong, we’re ready to handle it.
