ODN Infrastructure

ODN ADVANTAGE

We've been building a trustworthy and robust infrastructure for over 18 years

Our network has been designed to provide industry leading availability of both teleport and remote assets. Using our experience, we’ve worked to find area where VSAT networking can improve and implemented these strategies.

What makes ODN's infrastructure so reliable?

Self Healing Hub Architecture

Architecture of the Hub with Smart Redundancy, Self-Healing is not different from traditional Hub architecture, but all the controllers are universal and can assume any role. The NMS dynamically assigns specific roles to the universal controllers. If one system fails, another controller will take over. Smart Redundancy dramatically increases network availability level while only requiring a very modest investment.

Geo-Redundancy

Many Ka-band satellites are sensitive to atmospheric conditions. This problem is solved by Hub Site Diversity, adding another teleport in a separate location, which takes over when the main teleport may be inoperable (for example, because of a rain fade). This switch between hubs is seamless. Geographic redundancy is an important requirement of SCADA and IoT networks where a single point of failure in the network is not acceptable and high service availability is key.

1:1 Local Redundancy

All hub hardware has a clone, remotely outside of the hub. This redundancy adds another layer of reliability to our already rugged hub network.

Our consistent network has been ideal for those looking for direct backhaul for their telco.
